Q²M ClayLube is totally neutral and developed to work with any type and manufacture of clay bars. It does not affect the clay and remains safe for the most delicate bars. At the same time it does not cause any staining on the paint.

EXTREMELY SLICK AND CONCENTRATED

Q²M ClayLube has extreme slickness which reduces friction and prevents the clay from ‘grabbing’ and marring the surface, instead the clay will slip over it to reveal smooth paint. Ideally used with Q²M Clay for best results, but it can be used with any clay bars, cloths or discs to lubricate. Q²M ClayLube can be diluted down as far as a 1:10 ratio, which offers great economy, without impacting on its high performance and still allowing good lubrication for the clay to do its job.

PRO TIP

The formula of Q²M ClayLube allows it to be diluted even up to 1:10 without changing the slickness of the product. This makes it an excellent choice for professional detailer as well as enthusiasts. TIP: Spray generously at one panel at a time. Rinse the car after the claying process is finished to easily remove any potential streaks.

at the turn of the last and greatest age of man...

We detailers were always in search of that elusive perfect clay, and lube combo. This is a two-part review, as the other involves the DD clay pads. Back when the century turned there was a group of old-school detailers who tried their damnest to convince us to move away from clay bars and try these things called clay pads. I was one who did. Why? well, good clay back then had to be smuggled from Europe via dirty diapers. I kid you not, there was a patent on the good clay, and we poor saps in the US had to cheat to get it.

I needed something cheap, and effective for the dirtiest of my client's cars. The clay pad was it. The problem was finding the lube. Everyone swore, ivory and water mix. Yeah, the pad glided, but it still left a rub-marring that required a polish to remove. Most of you out there know that if you clay, you polish; if you want to polish you must clay. But the added stress of removing what you induced was annoying. For the better part of a decade, I searched for the perfect lube. I tried every quick lube, and additive I could.

The rub-marring was just a fact of life. All my old clay pads are gone, I killed the backing plate on my flex, and my pads were falling apart. It was time to reach out to the guru at the top of mount detailers domain. A week later I find my self with new gear, new supplies and an interest in seeing how much our art has progressed in the years since I retired.

WIth this lube, the LHR15v3, and a DD clay pad, I experienced 0 rub marring. I'll even throw another curve ball, I did it in direct sunlight at 90 degrees F with 80% humidity. This product allowed the pad to glide smoothly and evenly. It worked wonders. I'll certainly be buying more.
